Information security now!
During July, several interesting EU funding opportunities will open up in the sector of cybersecurity. Funding opportunities are available to actors in the private, public and research sectors. Funding is granted for the introduction and use of new technologies, as well as for research, innovation and development activities.
The Digital Europe funding programme
The European Commission's Digital Europe funding programme has announced calls for funding for the cybersecurity sector, in particular for the introduction of new technologies in cybersecurity preparedness, the implementation of EU cybersecurity regulations, and the development of Security Operation Centers (SOCs), both nationally and internationally.

The calls for funding open on 4 July 2024 and close on 21 January 2025. Please note! In some Digital Europe applications, the applicant must be a project consortium composed of more than one organisation, while in others the applicant may be an individual organisation. More detailed application information and requirements can be found in the additional documents for each application, which can be found on the application page.
Horizon Europe funding programme
The Horizon Europe funding programme provides funding for the transition to the quantum-secure encryption, and for the research, development and innovation activities related to the security development of various telecommunications software and systems.

- Approaches and tools for security in software and hardware development and assessment (External link)
Both calls for funding open on 27 July 2024 and close on 20 November 2024. The applicant of Horizon Europe applications is typically an international multidisciplinary project consortium, which includes organisations participating in a common project idea, with complementary and supportive expertise.
